Pheasant with bacon and vegetables

1 pheasant
juice of 3 lemons
curry
salt
powdered ginger
powdered rosemary
bacon
1.5 kg potatoes
0.5 kg carrots
2 large onions
2 heads of garlic

Clean the pheasant, season and marinate for 24 hours in lemon.

Coat pheasant with bacon and bake in preheated oven on 180°C for about 1 hour. Then, remove pheasant from baking pan an bake vegetables in meat gravy for about half an hour.

  2. Yes, I do live in Serbia, but this dish is not representative of cuisine from my country. I make a lot serbian dishes so you can expect posts on them very soon.

  3. Hi Marija, I found your lovely blog some time ago and was so happy to see someone sharing Serbian recipes (among many other things). You don't have a good recipe for bourek by any chance do you? I have been trying to track one down. (Also, these eggplants look delicious!)
