500 g grounded walnuts
600 g phyllo sheets
400 g sugar
200 g raisins
3 bags of vanilla sugar
oil
2 lemons
Grease baking pan with oil and reserve 2 phyllo sheets for later. Mix walnuts with vanilla sugar.
Place 2 phyllo sheets in pan, sprinkle with some oil, spread part of the walnuts, raisins and repeat until you have phyllo sheets left. At the end place 2 reserved sheets on top of the pie, oil well and sprinkle with water.
With a sharp knife, cut the pie before baking. Bake in a preheated oven on 200° for about 30 minutes.
While pie is baking, cook syrup with sugar and 6 glasses of water and sliced lemons. Soak baked pie while it's hot with syrup and top with lemon slices.
Leave overnight to rest.

ReplyDeleteThe dessert looks to me like the way we (in Bulgaria) prepare baklava :)
Cheers!
